Can I Partition ???
I have not patitioned this drive, can I still partition it without formating it again? It currently has windows xp and some programs on it.

With something like partition magic you can, but it's not free.
http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/ There are probably some free ones out there, but this is all I've used. |

Sure you can. But you'll need to use some third party software like Partition Magic or Acronis Disk Director.

I forgot to mention, this is an active drive. Do I have to format it or will partition 8 make the partitions on this active drive?

No need to format, it'll make the partitions no problem.
