Mouse driver fails to install
alright I have a windoes xp:he.I had updated my windows and my mouse worked fine.It is a optical micro innovation mouse ps/2. I updated my bios and soon after i believe my mouse did not work although it was powered.I check to see if there was any driver errors and there was no driver. So i download my driver install and no driver was there. When that didn't work i used system restore and still at the same place and reinstalled a generic driver and nothing.I have a intel d845pesv motherboard.

Do you have a USB mouse you can test with? Your PS/2 port may be shot. If you updated your bios, maybe you should use the jumper to clear CMOS, reset the date/time, and load factory bios defaults.

reset it all and the mouse did not work. While at the 'welcome login screen', i held down f1 forgetting that i needed to be reboot to get into the bios screen and the mouse arrow moved down and to the corner and then i was able to move the mouse. 0_o ah well, all is well and i'm not complaining. Thanks!
