Ok, I got a mesh case... ???
I got a new mesh case and I am trying to figure out how to mount the fans on the side. There are plastic brackets inside, but there are no holes to put the fan screws through. How the heck do I mount these fans?
I got this case: http://www.xoxide.com/v-tech-x-focus-7104h-silver.html |

Looks like the fans just snap into the brackets (at least for the one on the back).
Take some pictures of the plastic brackets. And why did you make a new thread instead of sticking with your previous case thread? Cricket

Pics of the mesh side of the case. Notice that holes on the outisde are very small and cannot fit a fan screw. The hole on the brackets inside are big enough, but how do I get the screws into them?

I am guessing a very very small screw drive. Insert the screw drive though the hole in the fan on one side marry it with the screw in the middle and then put the screw though the opposite hole in the fan, then line it up with the inside mesh.
Working from inside, and this is only going to work if the screw will go all the way though the fan and thread into the holder. That is an odd setup. second thought, I might would consider driling a screw hole from the outside, although be careful if you do that.

Instead of using screws, see if you can use nylon zip ties instead. That way you won't have to drill more holes in the case.

That's a thought, but I just can't believe the manufacturer would want you to do that. They put those plastic brackets there for a reason. Hopefully the small screwdriver will work. |

The pictures are a little fuzzy (and my eyesight is fading), but the holes in the bracket almost look threaded. Is it possible that instead of screwing through the bracket into the fan, that you screw through the fan into the bracket?

That's the conclusion I came to as well. I have to find a small screwdriver so I can try it. |

It uses those fake plastic rivet's,
On the outer edge of the fan holder there's those fake rivets, look at the inside of the panel and push the middle of the fake rivet out (it might hurt your thumb a little, but it comes out) by middle i mean that little stub you see comming out of it, when you push it out you will be able to grab the other side of it and pull it out. Do it for all of them and and the holder will come out, just screw the fans to the holder then put it back on. To put it on put the "female" part of the rivet in the hole and push the "male" part into it.
