Question LCD for X-box and PC

I've decided that I am fed up with my old Dell 17" CRT and I would like to buy a 21" LCD so I went to one of the coolest sites on the WWW, newegg and started looking around at monitors. That is when I realized I was a bit in over my head. I don't know much about the specs except that I'd like it to be able to run at least 1280x1024. And that I'd like to be able to run my new XBox through the Monitor as well. (I have the AIW 9800Pro) I can run the Xbox through my current monitor however it doesn't look as good on a TV. Kinda blurry. I started by looking at LCD monitors then I noticed a catagory labled Monitors - LCD TV and one just labeled LCD monitors. So I have no idea what to look for. So I guess the short and simple question behind this post is:
What would be a good monitor that can
a.) Run 1280x1024
b.) Work as a Monitor and still be able to run a Xbox in "focus".
It dosent matter if it has speakers.
If my specs would help they are in my sig.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanx
