i have a few of those around 5 yr old computers i picked up here and there and im stating to accumulate a good amount of RAM,hdd's,cpu's, and mobo's for that age range. my question is what wud be a good use for them or something cool to do with them? (i don't want to destroy them) also the cpu's are between 400 and 500 mhz, the hdd's are between 3 and 10 gig.

You can put them to good use by joining our Folding@Home team. You contribue to humankind by folding proteins to potentially help eliminate a number of diseases.
Here is some more information: http://forum.pcmech.com/forumdisplay...sprune=45&f=20 Look towards the top of the page. Make sure you use the David_M name as your name...LOL...kidding ![]() You can also donate your computer to our Folding@Home program. We are looking for computers to put to a good cause. http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=134596 Personally, I am willing to host/house a few machines and keep them running 24/7 for Folding@Home. I have pleanty of room in my garage for this. **** Moderators, Maybe we need to put a sticky in one of the most visited threads, somewhere other than in Distributed Computing, for people who want to donate their old machines? ...or a note on the homepage of PCMech.
