Cooling Lian Li / ASUS A8N Premium 939

Hello,

I was reading some comments on the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD MoBo and a specific Lian Li Case.

Someone wrote that this MoBo installed upside down on the Lian Li V2000A Case. This made the Modo run much hotter which was obviously not good.

I am buying a Lian Li PC-65B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - along with the same ASUS A8N board mentioned above.

Question is...does my case install this Mobo upside down as well or was it specific to that Lian Li V2000A case?
IF...it is generic for all Lian Li's to install upside down, then should I buy another case that installs right side up? and what case would that be? (allowance = $100 ~ 175.00)

I checked the specs on this case and it said nothing about how a MoBo is installed.

Please advise.

PS: I do not want to buy another cooler just to accommodate for the case/Mobo.

Thanks!!!

You shouldn't have any problem installing that motherboard into that case in the normal orientation...that Lian Li is a standard ATX mid-tower.

I have a Lian-Li case where the mobo is mounted upside down. Air cooling was never a problem before I went with watercooling. There are two different compartments. The lower takes in air at the front, cools the drives and exhausts it through the PSU. The upper takes in air at the from front and either sends it out the back or top...depending on the model. They are 120mm fans as well.

Here is a review on the V2000A case: which shows the PSU on the bottom which means the mobo is upside down.

Read the article..a 120mm fan blows directly at the mobo.
