SATA Boot up takes years
I have 4 HD's runnin in my comp.
Maxtor and WD on the Mobo Sata and 2x PCI sata cards with a WD on one and a Maxtor on the other. When i boot up it takes quite a while to go through all of the screens saying which controllers are installed and detecting the drives. Is there any way to speed this up or turn it off or does it have to do this every single time to make all my drives work? I looked in the SATARaid advenced settings but there is nothing of any significance in there. Any ideas anyone? greg, |

I think you are going to have to live with it. It has to install multiple bioses to get everything recognized.

Its good to know. I rarely restart but i'm just a bit of a perfectionist. I also might have some strange troubles with boot device orders but i'll investigate a little more before i post.
