A8N-SLI Chipset fan replacement

I've had problems with the cipset fan on my A8N-SLI DLX board. I've received the replacement from ASUS but I have no idea how to get the existing fan off.

I know I have to get the pins off somehow but I really don't want to take the board off as it's proving a pain in the arse to get the GFX card off.

I can't get to the back of the mobo as the case doesn't allow it.

Any ideas how I could cut the pins off without all the effort of taking the mobo out completely? Tried nailclippers that someone suggested but that isn't working. I dunno if you Americans have gigantic nailclippers but our tiny english ones won't fit round it lol

Any ideas would be very much appreciated

Jim

You should remove the board. You may damage the board from excessive flexing when you try to push the new pins in.
