A8N-SLI Chipset fan replacement
I've had problems with the cipset fan on my A8N-SLI DLX board. I've received the replacement from ASUS but I have no idea how to get the existing fan off.
I know I have to get the pins off somehow but I really don't want to take the board off as it's proving a pain in the arse to get the GFX card off. I can't get to the back of the mobo as the case doesn't allow it. Any ideas how I could cut the pins off without all the effort of taking the mobo out completely? Tried nailclippers that someone suggested but that isn't working. I dunno if you Americans have gigantic nailclippers but our tiny english ones won't fit round it lol Any ideas would be very much appreciated ![]() Jim |

You should remove the board. You may damage the board from excessive flexing when you try to push the new pins in.
