Hey,
As the topic says how good is this case? I need a case that has a good PSU that I wont need to replace with a new one and with plenty of cooling. This cases PSU is 450Watt SmartPower 2.0 ATX 12V V2.0 for AMD™ & Intel® systems how good is that? is it ATX 2.0 24 pin count? has the right voltages and won't go in a few months? and the cooling: - 1 rear 120mm Tricool fan standard) with 3-speed control to balance quiet with cooling - 1 front 120mm case fan (optional) 25mm thick - 1 92mm fan (optional) in the air duct to cool the CPU -1 80mm fan (optional) for graphics cards What does the optional stand for? does it only come in certian models? and will it be good enough? Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Mid tower ATX black power supply 450 Watt ( ATX12V 2.01 ) Last edited by Miscellanist; 08-25-2005 at 02:29 PM. |

Which Antec case are you looking at?
A link to the case would be nice. And specs for the computer you plan to build would be good too. Cricket

I think a few forum members are using that case now. Maybe one of them will see this thread and let you know how they like it.

I have the antec sonata case, not the II version. However, it seems the only differences are the larger power supply and the cpu duct for venting the heat from the cpu.
The case I have is very quiet and well constructed. I really only have two concerns. The piano black finish shows any finger prints or dust that settles on the case and you have to open the front door panel to turn on the power for the computer. Most of the time if I am just searching the web etc. I do not need the cd or floppy drives but I leave the door slightly open most of the time because its easier than openning and closing the door. Both of these are minor problems and are my own experiences. |

I don't know about the 24 pin and I don't want to jinx my power supply, but it has held up well for me so far.
