front usb ports and card reader

hey everybody. i have 2 usb ports up front. I also have the thermaltake hardcano 13 with built in card reader. Now only one of my usb ports because the hardcano takes up the other usb header. I want to run a usb cable from the rear of the mobo to hook up to the hardcono. therefore i need some sort of adaptor type thingy that can convert the pin header into a usb port. then i plan on adding a usb hub so i can make two usb ports out of one. firstly, will this even work? Second, where can i find this adaptor in Canada? thanx in advance.

What Motherboard are you working with? what do you have connected? All the pin USB extensions should really come with the case. I'm not sure where you would buy them in canada. try the motherboard manufacturers website. Generally you shouldnt use a USB hub if you want to use 2 devices at the same time properly. Your MoBo should support from 2 to 6 uSB devices. how many USB slots are you using and what for? if you get a USB Hub, even if it is powered the USB 2.0 bandwidth would be shared between the devices. this is not good enough if you wish to use the full bandwidth for one device. I think you need to state more clearly your current configuration and what you would like to do so i can get a better image of how to do it.
