PSU light died
my PSU's UV light isn't on anymore -- suffice to say it died (the light, not the PSU cause it's still going).
is there a way of replacing the light? is this normal -- the light going out within a couple of month's time? PSU -- ULTRA 500W UV X-Connect |

Have you contacted the supplier for warranty consideration?

yes, i did contact ULTRA. they will be sending me a replacement.
i found out that this is a problem with the UV X-connects. this is why they stopped making the UV version apparently. the UV light gets its power from the AC side of the PSU, and it's possible that if the light craps out, it could mess up the enitre PSU. with mine, it's just the light that died. i am extremely happy with the power supply and the company. i guess it's just one of those things. but anyone with the same PSU should go to the ULTRA forum and seek a replacement of the light assembly just ot be sure. |
