new mobo is SATA

morning guys,

Quick question. currently upgrading my PC and got my eyes on a new mobo.

939 Mobo

on my current board the HD's are ide, is there anyway I can keep them? don't want to go to the trouble of installing all my programmes again (yet)

I would like to use my old drive for now and look at transfering the data to a SATA drive when prices go down/capacities up.

Thanks for your help

Matt

I see two PATA connections on that mainboard, it can handle up to 4 PATA decives. So if you have 4 or less PATA hard drives, you can still use them.
