Motherboard ATA speed and HD Speed

I have a HD that is ATA 100, but the motherboard I am getting ready to buy only supports ATA 133. Will this not work or are they just not listing it because you only need to know the max? Also same question except an ATA 66 hard drive, my buddy has one

No. The motherboard supports up to ATA 133. So you could even hook up an ATA-1 drive to it.
Any parallel ATA drive will work there. Also your opticals, they're mostly ATA-33, some are ATA-66.
