I'd always choose from ASUS, ABIT or Gigabyte - perhaps MSI too.

Top tier motherboards: ABIT, ASUS, DFI, INTEL, Supermicro and TYAN.

Middle tier motherboards: AOPEN, EPoX, Gigabyte, IWILL, MSI and Soltek.

Lower tier motherboards: Albatron, Asrock, Biostar, Chaintech and Jetway.

Bottom tier motherboards: ECS, Foxconn and PC Chips.

Not sure where these go: BFG Technologies, EVGA, Machspeed, OCZ Technology, Sanmax and Vantec.

What kind of Mobos are you talking about. SLI mobos? what socket?
And are you wondering which are the most durable, or which have the longest warranty. I would say ASUS and ABIT and MSI and INTEL boards are the best overall, ASUS for SLI boards.

I have read the manufactures site but I'm a novice at understand computer lingo so the differences went over my head. The one difference that I could find is the deluxe is $30 more

You really should start your own thread about this. And it would be nice if you provide a link to the web pages for these motherboards.

Can't go wrong with the ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe.

I havent had any problems with the deluxe, and as far as I know they only difference between the two is that the premium transfers heat differntly.
Am I right on this? correct me if I am wrong.

I'm surprised PC Chips even made it up to the bottom tier.

To me, the best motherboards are MSI and Asus.

I've being an MSI fan since day one. My mobo wil be 3 years old and no problems yet (K7N2 Delta-ILSR).

msi?

Yea I always thought MSI was top tier as well just based on good reviews I've read about them. My next build was gonna be an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum does anyone think the DFI Lanparty (similar price) is a better board? I am looking for durability and reliability here, something to last me a good 3 years. ANy ideas?

I'd be quite comfortable using MSI boards - and the K8N Neo4 Platinum is a very good board. The position of MSI (and others brands such as Gigabyte) in the 'second tier' is based on quality issues that both these manufacturers have had in the past. In both cases, however, these issues appear to be sorted.

ASUS, DFI, Intel occupy the top tier simply because they have provided excellent motherboards consistently.

Louds3 - DFI boards are excellent for overclocking, if you are planning on doing this then yes - buy one. If not, then either should suit your needs perfectly.
