Big difference in these Processors/

Is there a noticeable difference in the ATHLON 64 3700+ and the 3500+... meaning like a performance difference that is worth the extra 60 bucks?

What about the 3200+ for that matter?

Also is the 64 X2 3800 a noticeable difference than the 64 3500 or 3800 ?

I was wondering the same thing for a while, I was torn between the 3700+ and the 4000+

I went with the 4000+ because I am building a gaming PC, and I want any extra speed I can get, without spending 800 dollars for a CPU..

Whether it'd worth it or not will depend on whether you are willing to pay for it or not - it sounds redundant, but think about it. The better the products get, the more you will have to pay for small increments of speed boosts. The essential difference is the level two cache - it should play a different in performance, but whether or not it's worth it is up to you.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ is practically two AMD Athlon 64 3200+ on a single die. If you will be gaming, the 64 X2 3800+ will act the same as a 3200+ in terms of gaming speed.

So if Im looking for speed it would be better to get the Athlon 64 3800 instead of the STHLON X2 3800 for the same price correct?

If so if I got the 3500+ would the be a noticeable difference fromt he 3800+ or in processors is this something where int he long run going with the 3800 wil benefit me?
