Let me tell you. I bought refill ink from re-inks (atlantic Inkjet)
www.re-inks.com I refilled all the ink and it was okay working fine. Then I didn't print anything from the printer for 1-2 months. I tried to print just recently and now only the colour prints. and it says all the ink are 75% full. And it says I have black ink and it's working, however when I print colour prints it works no problem, however the black ink is not working. Also there is really no other info I can give cause all what I did and my black ink doesn't print. Maybe I should shake it and empty it and refill it again??? ****!!! I have problem and I need to print badly right away. Thanks I hope someone can help. re-ink doesn't have good customer support and Epson can't help me cause the 1 year warranty is over.

Have to run the "clean heads" function in the printer properties?
Have you cosidered purchasing a new cartridge?

This is why I stay away from ink refills.
http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/Epson/K70 Then buy a new Epson cartridge. |

Do you want your printer to work?
You need to use the cleaning fluid kit I linked to, then buy a new cartridge. |

okay now my printer ink works, but for some reason when I print the object i am printing, it prints off the lines. When I print something like business cards or my cd cover from Avery labels. It prints way off. Instead of printing in the middle in the square on the page it prints right on the left side. Which is strange I don't know why? Never happened before to me.
Also when I try to print my the image from Nero cover design onto my CD it says can not print cd/try cover is open and it should be because i am trying to print on the cd. The printer and/or computer is thinking I want to print on regular paper, but I don't want to. I want to print my CD image right on the cd, not on paper. It is like some Ghost is here messing me up! LOL! but I want to cry and I need to print some stuff for customers fast. With the ink it's not much of a problem, but from the link you gave me around $13 for new ink is not so bad of a price from what I seen compared to other stores. Is it 100% new ink from the Epson factory? Thanks for being patient with me my friend. |

Inside your Printers Properties is an option called "Print Head Alignment" that will help you to fix this.

The link I gave you is NOT for ink - it's for a head cleaning fluid kit.
I have a customer that does what it sounds like you are doing. He is a small audio studio that prints a LOT of CD jewel case inserts and CD's. He gave up on his Epson printers due to hassles just like you are having and switched to Canons. He is very happy with the Canons so far. |

The cleaning fluid is NOT for the refill kit. It's for cleaning the print heads and it comes with instructions for use. Do you understand what I'm saying yet? Cheap ink clogs the print heads, as does leaving the printer idle for extended periods of time.
I'm recommending that you buy the cleaning fluid kit, clean your black head with it, then install a new genuine Epson black ink cartridge and throw your refill kit away. Epson cartridges do NOT refill nicely and if you keep using refills, you will keep clogging the heads. I don't care how much ink costs, it's the cost of doing business with an inkjet printer. |
