Angry Fire Having Problem when CD WRITING on HP 9300....Help me please..

My CD writer is HP CD WRITER 9300 SERIES. I use Adaptec direct CD software to burn CDs. But after inserting a blank CDR into my CD writer adaptec direct cd prompts me to format the disk first . After formatting the disk it shows that how much space available on the CDR and how much space is USED . It shows that 33.6 MB space is used ( if it is a 650 MB CDR...it shows 645 MB space is the capacity of the CDR and 33 MB space is used) , though i have not written anything on the CDR. Suppose i have a folder in my HDD containig 620 MB space . When i start copying the folder on that 650 MB it works fine ......... but after some time it shows that the CDR is full and it is not possible to write on that disk more . It is not for that .....every CDR 's true space is a little less that it claims. Because I have tried many types of CDR ... 680 MB,700MB, 730 MB......different brands of CDR.

Please help me regarding this matter ...... this is urgent .

waiting for reply..........
Thanks in advance .

Direct CD formats the CDR for "packet writing" which turns the CDR into a giant floppy disk, and you can copy files to it using Windows Explorer or whatever. This formatting uses space on the disk for the UDF file system. If you want full capacity, you need to use EZ CD Creator or whatever burning software you have to burn files onto a blank unformatted CDR.
