Very nice. Wouldn't suggest that with a cat though! *imagines the cat jumping on it, getting it's tail inducted into a fan, breaking off the video card and knocking the whole thing down*

That is cool, I would love to have my computer hanging on the wall.
There would be minimal cooling required, everything would stay nice and cool. ![]() You probably wouldn't need any fans at, all except for the chipset, CPU, and GPU. |

I like it! It reminds me of one of my old setups where almost everything was screwed to the bottom side of the desk.

something i'd like to see is that instead of cooling the mobo with fans well putting a mobo in some sort of box like case and making the MOBO spin..lol that would be cool..but u have to think about the wires and whatnot..so this might happen when things start to go wireless!! till then i'll keep on dreaming

Spinning components...hmmm... that'd be one way to turn a 7200RPM drive into a 10,000RPM one!

Bah, his is too neat and tidy. I once made a machine with all the components wire-tied into a milk crate. When the keyboard and mouse were tossed (carefully) into the crate, it looked like a box of stuff instead of a working computer.
I was pleased; that's about as far as you can get from a vanity machine with cold cathodes and LEDs. Last edited by ricercar; 10-29-2005 at 10:43 AM. |

I like it but its gotta be loud, look at all those fans. He should make it watercooled, now that would be something to see hanging from the wall. He should hang a picture over top of it so its like a hidden safe lol.

It's a cool idea, but your neighbors might not like you too much, that might cause a good case of EMI - ElectroMagnetic Interference. There's a reason why computers should have computer cases with paint that is made for computers to protect from EMI. This not only goes for this computer, but for other mods that don't use standard computer cases. However, with today's modern electronics I would suspect this wouldn't be too much of a problem, but it could if your neighbor still uses yesterday's electronics or that it still might cause somekind of problem with modern equipment...just act surpised if you hear your neighbor complaining about something interfering with his/her TV.
I was even told in an electronics class that airplanes flying over head might be affected by EMI.
