Question about heatsink + fan
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'll soon be making the purchases for my first build and couldn't find this out anywhere. I'm buying a Athlon X2 3800 that comes with a heatsink and fan and I'm wondering if I still have to apply thermal paste to that or is it good to go? Thanks.

The heatsink that comes with the retail processor usually has a thermal pad attached to the bottom of it. If it doesn't it might come with a small squeeze tube of thermal compound. But it should come with something.
