Thanks Two Rails- I had checked Newegg and I do like ASUS, but wondered which brand and MOB people have had luck with.
If I don't hear of a different brand that is better for the 754, I guess I will get one of the ASUS. Thanks

Here's one I've used lately. Built two with this board and a Sempron 2800+. Nice combo. Has onboard video as well as a PCI-e slot for future upgrade, SATA, RAID, and onboard sound.

Thanks P.R.
I have never used an MSI board, but if you have built a couple and you like them, I will give it a shot.

I think MSI is over the capacitor disaster from a few years ago. I don't trust them as much as an Asus, but I trust them over a lot of other brands.

what brands do you trust ??

i prefer in order : Asus , Abit , Epox ...... im not buying any of others

Asus and Abit are equal in my book ... i buy the one who best fit my needs.

I'm not entirely sure whether that's an accurate indicator for quality though - Asus has also outsourced their graphics card department to ECS and as far as I know, their quality has not dropped. I would, by all means, go Asus when possible though.
