Mini-ITX Lappy

I had this idea today and i think i could get it to work. I would buy the Mini-ITX parts (case, mobo, and PSU) from www.mini-itx.com (or better site) and then use some 256MB RAM I have, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and either a laptop screen or an LCD monitor. I just had a few questions.

1) I have PC2100 RAM and the motherboard supports PC3200, will that matter?

2) The monitor is where I am stuck. The PC itself requires the PSU (unless someones wants to teach how to use a battery) to input into a wall outlet. If I use an LCD monitor then I will need another power connection. If I use a laptop monitor, I have no idea how to interface those and how much power they use. Any suggestions to fix my dilemma?

3) I would need a hinge to attach the monitor to the case (like on real laptops) so it it would stay still. Where and for how much can I find those?

I'm sure more questions will arise, but those are it for now.

Thanks!
