Help

I'm looking to get a New Case/Power Supply.

I was wondering what everybody's thoughts were on this case:

The case'll be fine, but the power supply is questionable. I wouldn't use the power supply in the case, they are usually horrible quality. Unless you can find out what brand they are and see if they are a good brand (but for that price I highly doubt it, since you'll pay that much just for a decent power supply).

Is it a significant upgrade from what I have?

And also, could someone please explain to me what the best way would be for cooling with this case?

I have 2 80 mm fans in my existing Case that I just bought that I can use.

Please use the Edit button to add to your posts instead of making new posts one right after the other.

As far as the case is concerned, it looks okay.

As far as cooling goes, standard fan setup is:

Front fan - intake

Rear fan - exhaust

Side fan - intake

It looks like you can use either a 80mm, 92mm or 120mm fan on the rear of the case. Go with a 120mm fan if possible.

And I wouldn't use that power supply, get a good one. If you value your computer never power it with a cheap power supply. The cheap, low quality ones tend to have much shorter lifespan and when they do die they sometimes fry other parts in the process.

Thanks a lot, I'll use that Case, but with a better Power Supply.

Can someone link me to a good power supply?

Bad link...any ATX power supply will fit in any ATX case.

Oh, what I'm wondering is what is going in this case? So you get enough power.

In the case I have a 9600 Pro, 1 CD Drive/Floppy, and a P4 3.04 GHz Processor, GFX Card will soon be upgraded ...

And anyway, is there anything wrong with this Rion Power Supply in this case?

I"m not sure if Orion power supplies are good or bad but you don't want to use a low quality power supply with your new computer. From looking at the pictures it seems the Orion is a cheapy...only has four 4 pin molex power connectors (dead giveaway for a cheap power supply)...a good quality 400 watt power supply will have at least six 4 pin molex power connectors. I wouldn't use the Orion.

Apex..here is a list of what the PC Mech experts consider to be good and bad PSU's. The PSU's in blue are considered to be very good quality. Xclio are one PSU brands highlighted in blue.
