Booting Problem with SATA & USB
I have a SATA mirror HD (two 120Gb) that I used for everything. The problem is that any other USB memory device that is plugged into the computer is automatically used to boot from, even thought I think the BIOS is set right.
This means even to use a back-up harddrive I need to only connect and power it after the system is booted. Any suggestions? John |

Check bios again... I'm sure there's somewhere that you can specify the hard drive booting before anything else.
Also make sure your usb drive isn't like... C: or anything. |

The BIOS does not assign letters, the OS does. When you plugged the USB device in, the BIOS detected it and put it at the top of the boot order. Just put your hard drive back to first priority.
