That's a very low temperature. You don't need to change anything.

Yep...won't hurt to clean out your case though...typically office supply stores (even supermarkets) would have cans for a couple bucks a piece.

About 6 degrees cooler than my temps, I would say they are pretty low. Cleaning wont hurt, just be careful while doing it.

All three temps are 27C? Something seems wrong as the motherboard temp should be lower than the CPU temp. And 27C is only 80 degrees F...what are the ambient room temperatures for your home?

Wait, you are right, that seems odd. What program are you using to read temps? have you tried reading from BIOS?

Odd, most of the time my motherboard and CPU are at the same temperature, give or take, I would not call that odd, perhaps the heatsink just spins a lot faster than is needed (which is what happens in my case) and brings the CPU down to the same temperature as the motherboard.

You really can't generalize when it comes to temps...too many variables involved. Cricket

Generally, my motherboard and CPU are the same temp at idle (35C) and then the CPU jumps up to 45C during a load, while the motherboard stays at a constant 35 or 36C

A 1.1GHz T-Bird? T-Birds ran on the hotter side...I really don't think yours runs at only 27C. The computers I built with T-Bird processors (about 10 of 'em) usually ran over 45C at idle and easily went up to 55C under load using the stock AMD heatsinks.
I remember this one 1.4GHz T-Bird computer in particular that I had put together for a co-worker. I had just finished putting it together and was loading Win98SE. It was in my bedroom. I went out to the kitchen to get something and when I went back into the bedroom it was like walking into a sauna! The heat coming out of that computer was unreal. I told my co-worker about it and we decided to replace the stock AMD heatsink with a Thermalright SK-6 (all copper heatsink) with a Delta 38 fan to help keep the CPU temps down. The case was a Antec SX830 with 2 front intake fans and 2 rear exhaust fans and the CPU temps were still about 48C at idle and would easily run up to 60C under full load. That was one hot computer. I'll never forget it. Cricket
