added new HD AND HAVE A PROBLEM

I just added a WD as a slave drive, BIOS sees it. Windows device manager sees it as working properly. I need a drive letter as the drive does not show in My Computer. I have win2000 2ed

You need to format it first before it will show up as a usable drive. Right-click on "My Computer", select Manage, then Disk Management. There you can format and partition the drive to your heart's content.
