Where can i get firmware updates for my new dvd rw drive??

ive just bought a NEC ND-3550A 16x DVDRW drive, its an oem and just came as a drive only with no leads or software etc.

where can i get some updates for it to maximize its potential and get the most out of it in terms of performance/reliabilty??

Just because they are available it doesn't neccessarily mean you need to do firmware updates, be very carefull doing firmware updates because you can turn a perfectly good working CD or DVD drive into an expensive paper weight.
