Reformating HD for clean xp pro install help

I am trying to reformat my hard drive and re install xp pro clean. Can some one walk me throught it? Can I hit F5 when its booting up to do this cuz I dont have the disc just my xp pro stuff.

I believe when you start to install XP or any other OS it will ask you if you want to reformat if their isn't anything on it.

I have to reformate the drive first, at least i want to first

if you want to format first get a DOS boot disk -Goolge for one - and then use that to wipe the drive

just put the cd in and boot from it, you will have the option to do a complete format before the install.
