time for a change

thinking about doing some changing here.
I have the following

1, asus P4P800 delux 2.4 800 512

2, intel 865 GBF 2.5 800 512

3 asus P4t-E no cpu but full of rambus

I ordered a p4 3.0e 800 1 gig

I am thinking of putting the 3.0 g into number 1 system

placeing the cpu from 1 and placeing it 2

place the cpu from 2 into 3.

the 3 was a good working sustem but was found dead one day and I did not have any other way to test it but for buying the no. 3 motherboard and installing it into the case and use the cpu in the new board, it worked great,

so now I have the new cpu comming and now can place the known good cpu back into the orginal motherboard (3 ) to do some further testing on it.
I did the reasearch on the differant boards and all should work fine without having to flash any of the bios's.

now with the first build of system 3 it was necessary to flash the bios from 004 to at least a 007 for it to be able to reconize the 2.5 northwood, and that went fine but it is unknown as to why it went dead on me.

both 1 and 2 support hyperthreading so that should be good, while 3 does not.

any thoughts on this job.

other than why would I want 3 computers.

I upgraded to that same chip in my P4P800 board last summer and with a bit of overclock get really good performance.

You should put those 3 computers to work Folding!

Are you sure the 2.5 is an 800? The only 2.5's I've seen are 400's. If so, that should work fine in the P4T-E with bios 1007 if it's a P4 Northwood. If it's a Celeron, you need bios 1008.004.
