Switching 2 hard drives...
Will it be possible to switch 2 hard drives from one pc to another? I have 2 old pcs and one of them is about to die. 2nd pc hasn't been used for a while, and I was thinking if it's possible to just put the 2nd hd to the 1st one. They are about the same specification (win98) and size but different brand. Will it work? There must be something else I have to do but not sure what I need to do though... and thanks for any input.

sure you can do thatjust set on up as master and the other as a slave with the jumpers on the rear of the drive, place them into the computer and use a boot floppy to format them and if the drives are good and the bios sees them, you can do what ever you want to with them.

1st one is dying pretty fast so I want to replace it with the 2nd one. I'm not going to set it up as master-slave drive setting. I wonder if I could just switch the HD and be done with it...
