I inadvertantly made a partition on my non-o/s secondary HDD "active" when I was trying to resize it. Now of course XP doesn't boot.

Try using a windows 98 boot disk and using fdisk to reset your partitions.

Partition Magic can fix it for you too if you made the recovery disks.
