Very loud BFG 6800 gt oc

I have a BFG 6800gt oc, it is extremly loud. I was wondering how to shut it the hell up. Im thinking an artic silencer would be the easiest way, however would a standard A.S. for a 6800 gt fit the gt oc? Also, is there another way to quite this card down...maybe replace the fans or something?

Thanks guys! oh and girls!

The AS would probably help silence it. I don't see any reason why it would not fit...the OC version is no different than standard (physically). The difference is in the BIOS of the card. Another VERY quiet option is the Zalman V700 GPU cooler. Good stuff, I JUST put one on my X850XTPE today, and the noise difference is unbelievable. Certainly quieted my system down a bunch. The only thing with the Zalman is you want to have good case cooling as it does not exhaust hot air out the back like the AS unit.

I had a question, my old comp was extremely noisy, which i was told might have been because my small power supply was working so hard. I built a new computer with all new parts and though i am very pleased w/ the performance, the comp is quite noisy. I was wondering what fans tend to be the loud ones? Is it the PSU fan or maybe the processor or graphics card fan? Heres what I have that have fans

450W PSU that came with my 50$ case(implying its prolly not a very good one)
3.0GHz intel CPU and the fan it came boxed with
GeForce 6600 GT

Im not gonna spend the money to upgrade anything because its noisy, but itd be nice to know whats being so loud
