File system on my external HDD

Should I bother to convert the file system on my Maxtor 120GB external HDD from FAT32 to NTFS?

I don't think it's necessary...and if you use the external HDD on a computer with Win9x it's going to need FAT32 anyway.

I agree with Cricket but it also depends on if you typically work with really large files, as fat32 has a file size limit of 4gb, ntfs is almost unlimited.

Nope, no really large files... just using it for backup. I am however backing up large amounts of files together... still not in the GB range. Thanks!
