100 gig sata
Hello
Ive just put a new build together, im trying to load windows xp ive put the boot order to boot to cd first it runs through to the point of starting to load windows ,but then says cant find hard drive.I see it in the bios as it loads ,100 gig sata drive, is there something i need to be doing to direct windows to this drive? I also put the drive second in hte boot order. Thanks for all replies |

Thanks, figured it out, had to change raid to sata in the bios.

Pull out the manual for that motherboard and it will tell you how to setup the bios to recognize a single SATA drive. It's also possible that the drive must be on a particular SATA connector, 0 instead of 1, for everything to work.
I think you need drivers with a via board when use SATA, whether or not it's RAID, but I'm not sure so check the manual for that as well.
