It doesn't get any better. You have the right driver. HSF is a $10 winmodem. That modem is only going to connect as fast as your phone line allows. 40K is considered a "good" connect and if you are not freezing and disconnecting a lot, leave it alone. We could probably get your INDICATED connect speed higher, but it will either retrain back to 40-42K or choke on you from excessive error correction.
That modem is made by Aztech - Using Rockwell HSF MonoPack solution : Rockwell RS56-PCI (6795-11) data/fax/voice/speakerphone Chipset The main Aztech site is down right now - I am on their German site and I don't understand German - but the data sheet doesn't indicate anything about ME compatibility - so I would leave it alone and trust the factory installed driver. |

The Supra should work very well on your system as it's a hardware controlled modem. It doesn't use a driver per se - just an .inf file so installation should be very easy. It *should* coexist with the existing modem - normally I would recommend uninstalling it and removing it from the box, but reinstallation later may be a problem without a specific driver disk.

ME may have a driver built in - just let it plug and play and see what happens.
