Concnetor pins...

is theer a differance between a 24 pin and a 20 + 4 pin connector? I have been looknig a PSU and mobos ..

Yes. The 20+4 connector can split apart into two connectors, a 20-pin and a 4-pin. That way, it can easily be used with motherboards that take either a 20-pin or a 24-pin connector. A 24-pin connector can't be split, so if you want to use it with a 20-pin motherboard, you will need an adapter.
