dvd-rw not working anymore
So my computer is really messed up right now and I've been needing to reformat for a long time. But there are files on here that I can't loose. I was going to put them on a cd with my DVD-RW, but the thing doesn't acknowledge it when a disk is in. It is a
Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-812S. I have been using my regular DVD rom for my cd's. That one is on drive E, while the dvd-rw is on drive D. I know it is not the CD because I've tried other CD's and it doesn't read them either. The drive shows up in my computer and the LED goes on when I insert a CD, but the computer doesn't recognize that it's there. Any suggestions? |

Try uninstalling the drive in Device Manager-Reboot and see if Windows reinstalls it.
