problem after installing a ram

hi,

I just install my 512 ddr ram into my motherboard. Your suppose to push hard on it until you heard a click or until the clips snaps into place so i did that. After i installed it i turned on my pc, but nothing pops up on my screen i only see black plus my keyboards lights stops working like caps lock, num lock, the laser mouse works fine. And the power system works fine. So what could be the problem? Please help. I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

the ram could be bad. Or not compatible with your motherboard.

Go to your motherboards website and check the compatibility.

What are your system spec's (include brands and models please)

Is it possible that you put them in the wrong slots?

Try removing again the RAM, and re-installing it. If still the same thing happens, try the RAM on another rig or to a shop to do a "mem test" on it.
