Help! checksum error.

i just installed a new motherboard and cpu on a computer that i built. when i first turn it on it begins to boot and i get a CHECKSUM ERROR. i can't fix this because my key board will not type. its like it freezes... yes the key board is plugged in, can any one help

Just so we know what we are looking at, what motherboard is this?

Do you know how to clear the CMOS?

its a mach speed matrix p4m800 socket 478 motherboard with an intel celeron d 340 processor. i cleared the cmos wich is what cause the checksum error. i can't get into the bios because the keyboard (PS/2) will not type, the lights on it are on. i believe my compute is frozen,...
