What is the best mobo for "AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Dual-Core"
What would be the best mobo for the following things I want to add on? what kind of memory should I use(ddr ddr2)? This is for a gaming system. Last question, would all the parts I just listed work well with each other?
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Dual-Core 2 Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB Hard Drive ATI Radeon X1900 XTX Video Card Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro cg |

I'd go with an Asus board that has the features you are looking for. You must use DDR memory; Athlon's can't use DDR2 memory as yet. All of those parts would work just fine together.

Try one from the Asus A8N series, perhaps the Asus A8N-E. They are excellent boards.

I'd use the ASUS A8N-E. Oh wait....I did!
![]() ![]() Another choice would be an ASUS A8N5X, which has a few less features than the A8N-E.
