Question Corsair pc2400 CAS2 DDR modules (CM64SD256-2400C2)

Corsair came out with DDR modules (128MB and 256MB) that are "PC2400" (CM64SD256-2400C2).
I've seen some review that says that thats actually PC2100 ram, but the difference is that it will overclock to at least 150MHz FSB @CAS2 (300MHZ DDR, hence the "2400").

Here is the review I read, according to this it does work in regular boards and has better overclockability.

But i'm a little sceptical.
is this just high performance PC2100 DDR, or does it require a special board after all?

I'm guessing it's just high performance DDR, it shouldn't require a special board. HTH
