Getting 2gigs or 3 that is the ?
I am currently looking to get another gig or 2 of ram. THe question is do i have enough power for 3 and if so do you think it is overkill. I am not worried about windows using the 3 gigs for apps all i care about is using it for gaming. I am waiting for oblivion to come out and I am also looking to get battlefield 2 and I realize 2 gigs will run them fine, but i am worried within a year 2 gigs might be what games recommend and not what they can actually run at with out any hitch. Will i have to do anytihng to windows or will it recongize the 3 gigs? ALso it is my understading that it takes 20 watts for every 256mb of ram. IF this is true do i have enough power for 3 gigs setup with my video card, cpu, ect setup?

If you get 3 gigs, make sure you still use matched pairs to retain dual channel operation. You have plenty of power.

You probably don't NEED 3GB right now... maybe in a year, but it's unlikely you would max out your 2GB with normal usage.
