scanner usb
hi everyone
i've decided to quit using a parallel scanner and go with a usb my question ,is there a difference with a usb(a)& a usb (b) connectors thanks |

Yes, now I can't remember which is which, but one is the rectangular connector that plugs into the back of your computer, the other is a square one with two beveled edges that plugs into your peripheral.

Now that I'm at work and can take a look at packaged cable, then end that plugs into your computer is "A" and the square end that plugs into the peripheral is "B".

USB to me is still problematic.
For around $100 you can get a refurbished HP narrow SCSI scanner (6200cse) (Refurbed by HP) and for $57.00 you can get the ADVANSYS SCSI card for it. With this set up you can scan an 8x10 Photo in under 15 seconds with no noise instead of a couple of minutes with the USB. |

USB still beats parallel port all to heck and is a no brainer install.
