When im playing computer games my mouse and keyboard shut down. HELP!
This happens to me often. I play PC games for about 3 hours then my mouse and keyboard just shut down or turns off or something. I play games like age of empires and roller coaster tycoon. Do you know what causes this and how to stop it? Thanks in advance!

What kind of mouse/keyboard are you using? Wireless? What exactly happens? Is the Num Lock light on the keyboard going off or staying on?

I think plugging or unplugging the PS/2 mouse or keyboard ports can cause problems with the motherboard. Had you done that before the problem started possibly? Although I don't know that I've ever heard of a short in the mobo being time released like that, it may be that...
I wouldn't think that it would be the keyboard or the mouse causing it if they both go off at the same time, but have you tried alternate ones? How's your anti-virus protection? Are you scanned clean, in case it's some type of malware? |

Do not unplug and plug in PS/2 keyboards and mice when the computer is turned on. You can damage the motherboard that way.
