New Evercool Water Kit

Good day,
I've installed the Evercool Water cooler kit and I really like it. The problem is that it's not really keeping my system cool.

I added this Koolance VID-200-L06 Video and Memory Cooler

My Asus mobo shuts down my whole pc after about 5 minutes of running desktop applications. If I crank up the front fan to HIGH and remove the side panel, I can hover my temperature at about 58 degress celcius. Playing an intense game increases temps and causes problems with performance.

Needless to say, cranking up a fan defeats my purpose of having a QUIET system! I need QUIET and cool

My SATA hard drive puts out a LOT of heat - my Northbridge is kinda warm too. I think that the inside case temps are keeping the internal radiators from effectively cooling the water.

My question is:
1. Do I have to remove and return this kit and get a more "external" kit/system than can effectively cool over the radiator?
2. Or can I just get a hard drive cooler, external radiator, and extra tubing to improve my current setup? (would this require another pump too?)

You may have an air lock some where in the plumbing.

What is your coolant temperature? What is the air temperature in your case? A low coolant temperature can mean that there is not enough flow to your cooling block. It can also mean your coolant block is not seated properly or that you did not apply your thermal paste correctly. It can also mean your radiator is not working correctly due to a poor design or inadequate airflow.

A high coolant temperature can mean your radiator is not working correctly due to a kinked hose or poor airflow.

There are lots of variables.

I think external systems are superior. There is no point in venting the heat from the CPU into the case only to have to have the same amount of fans have to remove the heat from the case. This does nothing for making for a quieter case...what you have done is ADDED a fan! A radiator works most efficiently by running cool room temperature air over it..not the already heated air found in a case.

I repeated the steps over and over to ensure no air was left in the system - good suggestion.

The hoses are not kinked and the blocks are properly seated (I actually removed them to see the thermal paste pattern - then properly reapplied Arctic Silver and remounted).

You are TOTALLY correct about the warm air inside the case not being adequate enough to COOL the hot over the radiator. The system is just circulating warm and hot water. Not only that, but my pump is not really adequate for the GPU cooler AND CPU block.

I've purcha$ed a better pump, additional radiator, and extra ho$e$ and fitting$ to bring the radiator$ out$ide of the ca$e.

For my first leap into water cooling, I sure am learning a lot!

OKAY,
I placed the rear 80mm radiator on the outside of the case to help it cool down. I added another 120mm radiator at the end of 2 feet of tubing WAY outside and away from the case to get cool ambient air. I also put northbridge and HDD water coolers into the system. Finally, at placed an additional pump (identical to the pump currently in the system) at the opposite end of the water loop to keep the water flowing.

RESULT:
It works great now! This now runs at 48 degrees idle and 52 loaded and it's virtually silent.
