I have ASUS A8V socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro. It has two SATA's connectors. I have two 60GB Western Digital Hard drives. I know both my hard drives are IDE. Can I switch my two IDE's hard drives to SATA's drives? Do I have to re-format those drives?
There is the link from newegg.com about my mobo: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813131541 |

You can use IDE to SATA adapters, but there is no point in it unless you need the IDE channels for other devices. You would need to have the motherboard SATA drivers installed in Windows before switching the drives over.
