Question An external enclosure refuses to show.

I transfered all of the data I had in my old 200 GB Maxtor PATA hard drive to my new 300 GB Maxtor SATA hard drive and made it my boot drive. I took out the PATA HD and noticed that I had a few programs that didn't get transfered totally. Like for instance my Microsoft Word has in the Program List Microsoft word missing the icon for it and the program itself was missing. Well, since reinstalling it from a cd didn't work, for reasons I don't understand, I decided to hook up my old PATA hard drive to my computer via an external enclosure. When I hooked it up to the computer and turned it on, my computer made the weird beeping noise that means something couldn't be connected. I looked in "My Computer" and it didn't show the drive, and I tried to locate it with MaxBlast 4, but it didn't find it. I hooked up a USB Flash Drive to test and it worked. I even used my other external enclosure with another hard drive and it didn't work as well. Anyone have any ideas in how I can fix that?

The drive needs to be jumpered as Master.

Try Master or Cable Select.

I tried every setting on the jumpers and all had the same sound that means the computer couldn't read or connect.
