Hi! I just installed a new SATA hard drive, my old(IDE) one crashed. I've never had a SATA drive before so I have a question. There is a icon in my system tray for safely removeing hardware that points to my hard drive.
Is this right or did I do something wrong. I also can't enable DMA because WinXp seems to think it's a removable drive. Can any body help me? |

Yes, that's right depending on your motherboard. SATA is designed to be hot-swappable, and on my nForce4 motherboard the same thing happens.
