Question Problem attaching heatsink to new case, Please help

I am installing a micro atx motherboard in a new case. The motherboard came out of a hp xw6200. The motherboard fits fine but there is no place to mount the heatsink. I drilled holes for the heatsink screws to pass through the motherboard plate, can I just put nuts on the end of them? Any better ideas?
