smokin Smart capability on HDD

What exactly is this smart capability? Its disabled in my bios should I enable it? Does it monitor specific things or what?

Yes, unless you like nasty surprises like your hard disk failing without warning I have to warn though; SMART is a good indicator/early warning system, but it cannot predict every drive failure. Good backups are still necessary.
