Looking For A Good Airflow Case

hey whats up im a new member and know i can get some good suggestions on cases. Im going to build a new computer..its going to have 3 HD
1. 1500 rpm and 2. SATA 3g setup in RAID..for this i want an Effecient AIRFLOW case. I was looking at one in particular but its not a full tower ...Aerocool ExtremEngine 3T...

the fans are huge but they seem a little slow what do u think? also is there a case that anyone knows that is maybe a full tower with this kind of air flow?..thanks peoplesss

Welcome to PCMech.

The larger the fan, the slower it can spin and still push a good volume of air.

I think that case is a bit overkill. Your system shouldn't need massive cooling. A typical case with an 80mm intake and an 80mm exhaust will keep your temperatures inline. You'll get plenty of suggestions for cases, but I like Antec. Clean, simple and effective.

Also my brother works at a metal shop and i been trying to come up with a revolutionary design for a computer case. Its gonna cost us alot to make it cause its alot cheaper to just order one. But if anyone has good ideas or sketches for a FULL TOWER beast. please run them by me..as soon as i get the design im kinda looking for im going to post a 3d sketch for everyone to see. thanks alot im going to hit the sack if i ever wanna get up tomorrow

Antec TX1050B--full tower, 500W ATX2.0 power supply and compliant with Intel's TAC specifications. They have several others that are a little smaller and still compliant with the intel specs.

any other suggestions i really like this case..does it have a intake fan in the front and what size is it...are there anyother like it with the door i really hate doors plus im going to get the video card that connects to the front with nobs..thanks any other ideas?

Well I am very happy with my Raidmax X1 case. But its only mid tower. the two 120mm Aerocool Xtreme Turbine 2000 LED fans I installed in it (one intake and one output) work great. Thats also with the stock 80mm fan in the side pulling air in right over the processor heatsink/fan and the 120mm fan in my Seasonic 430 watt PSU pulling out. Case tempertures never really reach over 98 degrees Farhenheit and proc is 112 degrees and only 114 under full load. It used to reach 122 degrees!! Thats with the following stuff:

2 7200 RPM HD's (30GB and 160GB drive) I will soon add a third HD in. I'll let you know the temps on that.
Pentium 4 2.8 Northwood core
512MB Ultra memory
DVD-RW
Nvidia 440MX

As for temperture testing these temp results come from running Virtual DubMod from one HD to another using either XVID AVI or WMV9 encoding under heaviest possible load. Temperatures recorded on the 21st hour of encoding. Temps. did not change even after the final hour (27 hours).
The slide in slide out pci/agp cardholders and tooless 5.25"/3.5" installs are easy as pie and work efficiently. However I did have one of the hard drive locks lock up on me. Nothing pushing harder with my finger didn't solve. Everything is A OK with it .

PS: review is after owning for 3 and a half months.

yeah this is a pretty awsome case if i have to say so. But it has a door and its not a fulltower. When i was in college we had 28 computers in the lab....amd dual proc with 1gb of ram this was pretty hitech back in 2002. With the heat that the room created and us setting up render farms over the network and leaving the renders on from friday morning till monday morning..we burend out a couple of machines..when the lab purchased new computers durring one semester we had to test these machines..Alienware came to the school with a dual xeon setup the other 2 where amd and a single p4. We would run particles renders and race all 3 machines..Alienware was not the best machine most of the time the single proc p4 would win..but the school didnt purchase it because it was an ugly box..lol..they didnt purchase alienware cause there support sucked..last time i was in the lab they had just ordered flat screen motinors 2800 bucks a pop. We lost 13 computers in one day towards the end of the semester when the work had to be handed in and everyone was rendering..i still run renders like this so this is why im looking for a fulltower best..

Silverstone and Thermaltake also have some full towers without doors. Here is the link for all of newegg's full tower cases, there are quite a few without doors.

They also have a few server cases without doors that are pretty big.
